FinTech TT is one of the pillars of the ‘FinTech Roadmap’ for Trinidad and Tobago, which is a strategic plan for the country to become a FinTech-enabled Financial Services Hub.
The FinTech Association of Trinidad & Tobago (FinTech TT) is led by a volunteer group of members who see the potential to improve the delivery of financial services in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean.
We are a not-for-profit organization with an independent structure, based on the pillars of transparency, accountability, and good governance. We provide open membership to promising FinTech start-ups, any citizen of Trinidad and Tobago that wants to see change in the way Financial Services are delivered, financial services providers, and tech companies. FinTech TT works closely with Government and regulators to advocate for the adoption of global standards in the local FinTech sector.
A globally competitive domestic ecosystem that will establish Trinidad & Tobago as the leading FinTech-enabled society in Latin America and the Caribbean.
FinTech TT will facilitate an interconnected, cash-less society made possible by flourishing FinTech companies, embraced by the GORTT, and the business/financial services sector, demanded and endorsed by the general public.
We believe that the key ingredients exist for Trinidad & Tobago to be a regional leader in FinTech. We will be a driving force in the sustained development of FinTech solutions that put financial services within the reach of the unbanked and underbanked.
To achieve this, FinTech TT will:
Build a strong membership to advocate for effective regulation that will support the development of digital financial solutions and attract investment in the local FinTech sector.
Facilitate workshops and training opportunities led by industry experts to foster the development of FinTech companies, mentor start-ups and promote best practices within the sector.
Collaborate with domestic, regional, and international stakeholders and FinTech organisations who share similar goals on mutually beneficial projects and initiatives.
